Ever wondered how singers achieve those powerful, spine-tingling notes that seem to shake the rafters? That's belting! Belting is a technique where singers unleash strong, high, and often thunderously loud sounds from their upper chest or head voice registers. It's the secret weapon behind dramatic performances and emotional intensity in songs.
But mastering belting isn't just about singing loudly; it's a delicate balance of breath support, resonance control, and muscular coordination to create that awe-inspiring sound without straining the vocal cords.
In AMTA's How To Belt Like a Pro Weekend Workshop, you'll embark on a thrilling two-day journey, either in person or online, with Queenie van de Zandt, one of Australia's most celebrated 'belters', exploring the world of vocal belt technique in our workshop designed for singers of all levels.
With her infectious humour, energy and expertise, Queenie will demystify belting and help you to unlock your vocal power!
