Audition Bootcamp for Kids & Teensposter

Audition Bootcamp
for
Kids & Teens

A musical theatre, intensive 3-day workshop preparing tomorrow’s young artists for a career in the performing arts
For young performers aged 8 to 18 years

Created by Queenie van de Zandt, one of musical theatre’s best-loved stars, Australia’s leading teacher of audition technique and renowned ‘musical theatre star-maker’, this 3-day workshop is designed to help young people excel in professional musical theatre auditions.

With current blockbuster musicals Mary Poppins, TINA: The Tina Turner Musical, Beauty & the Beast, Elvis: A Musical Revolution, Midnight: The Cinderella Musical and Miss Saigon all featuring young performers in lead roles, there’s never been a better time to be a young performer in the arts and to brush up on your audition skills!

Over the past 20+ years, the unique audition and musical theatre techniques we teach in these workshops have helped countless young performers get cast in lead roles in musicals. Currently we have former students playing lead roles in all the musicals mentioned above, as well as & Juliet, Wicked, Grease & Chicago (check out some of our famous alumni below):

So, why not join them and take that next step toward a professional career in musical theatre!

"Your workshops are SO valuable Queenie. Sophie has done two of your workshops and the information has DIRECTLY helped her get call-backs in auditions, and obviously to win roles as well!...She had a good run - three professional productions (Annie orphan, Chitty as Jemima, and now in Sound of Music as Louisa)…Love your work Queenie!!"
W. Moman, Parent – Brisbane
(Sophie was cast in the Brisbane seasons of Annie, as an Orphan, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, as Jemima, and The Sound of Music, as Louisa)

Neither the Australian Musical Theatre Academy (AMTA), nor any of our staff, are in any way connected to, associated with, endorsed or sponsored by, any Australian production company and/or promoter and/or their productions and we are not involved in any way in the casting of such productions. Through our independent, highly successful workshops we’ve been teaching children and adults the skills involved in auditioning for professional musicals and preparing them to take leading roles in professional shows, for the past 20+ years. Obviously, we can’t, and won’t ever, guarantee that anyone will be cast in a musical, however, for the past 20+ years, we’ve had countless children and adults participate in our workshops who are subsequently cast in professional musicals.
