Admission into The Musical Theatre Intensive Weekly Masterclasses is by audition only. Upon meeting the skill requirements of the course, places will be offered to auditionees on a first come, first served basis. As there are only 10 places available in each masterclass, we encourage performers to submit their auditions early to avoid disappointment.
If we still have spots available after the course has begun, or if performers cannot attend each weekly masterclass, we encourage performers to still apply, as each masterclass is structured so that participants can film their work beforehand to be watched by the tutor during the session, and each class is recorded so that students can catch up on classes missed and still receive feedback on their work.
Accessibility:
Accessibility and diversity are important to AMTA. We will be seeking out and encouraging enrolments from First Nations and BIPOC artists, LGBTIQ+ artists, body and age diverse artists, artists with a disability, and culturally and linguistically diverse artists.
We also have payment plan and scholarship options available to financially challenged artists. If financial difficulties are a barrier to you enrolling in the course, please get in contact with us at queenie@amta.net.au.
AMTA is also committed to bringing world-class, theatrical training to all of Australia, including regional areas. Therefore, we hold a limited number of places in each of our Melbourne classes for possible online participants to join us on Zoom. We encourage and welcome auditions from performers around Australia.
Course Dates | Times | Venues:
To make sure students don’t miss out on any of the classes, each class will be recorded through Zoom, so, if students are sick they can participate online or if they miss a session, they can watch the recording.
