Creating Cabaret Course

“Queenie van de Zandt has a knack of bringing together the best in the business to be a part of her courses...What an amazing opportunity to work with the leading lights of the cabaret scene to develop your own cabaret show.  I wish this had been around when I was starting out!”
David Campbell OAM

The leading lights of the Australian cabaret scene are banding together to help emerging cabaret artists find their voice.

The Creating Cabaret Course is a 12-week, face-to-face, online course that will teach you how to write, produce and perform your own cabaret show.

Curated and led by one of Australia’s most renowned cabaret performers, Queenie van de Zandt, the course will see participants working with the who’s who of the Australian cabaret scene - performers, directors, producers, festival directors, writers, and musical directors - to write, perform and produce their own cabaret shows.

Open to performers from any genre of live performance - singers, circus, comedians, burlesque, drag - all will find themselves reflected in the diversity of the tutors.

Take your career in your hands, tell your story, and be ready to pitch to festivals and venues for inclusion in their 2024 seasons!

Check out the incredible tutors who you will be working with at the Creating Cabaret Course.

“I absolutely loved the CWW last year - it was so inspiring to be around such brilliant, hard-working tutors and wonderful like-minded students. Thanks to the guidance from many of the tutors on the course, I performed my solo show “Natural Habitat” last year at Sydney Fringe Festival and am about to perform it again as an official selection of Sydney Comedy Festival’s “Fresh! Comedy” Program. I couldn’t have done it without all the amazing support and knowledge I gained from CWW!!”
